We are going to have an "eggsciting" Easter this year. The Pre School Committee, and the school PTA are organising an Easter Egg Hunt around Hyde Heath Common on 25th March from 2.00 to 4.00. There will be an Easter Egg for each paying participant at the end of the hunt, and there will also be refreshments available along with fun pocket money games to have a go at. More details will follow, but save the date. It should be lots of fun!
The weather has been so cold and frosty but it hasn’t stopped the children from going outside to have fun and explore the ice. They found ice on the grass, on a bench and on the trees and leaves. The children made an Ice World with the animals and we talked about what ice is and how ice melts. We placed pots of ice in different parts of the Pre-School room and guessed which one would melt the quickest. The ice on the windowsill came first and the ice in the freezer came last!
If you haven't already, please join our easyfundraising page on the link below:
https://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/causes/hydeheathpre/ This is a way of raising money for pre school with almost no time input required. All you need to do is sign up on the above link and then every time you shop with a huge number of online retailers you will raise money. The best way to do this is to agree to have a pop up message each time you go into the retailers - then each time you shop a message will pop up asking if you want to activate the donation to that shop. We already have 13 supporters who have raised over £120 just by buying what they needed to buy anyway. It is totally free for you to join. All sorts of retailers are part of this scheme including Marks and Spencer, Next, Tesco, Mark Warner, Hobbycraft, Screwfix, B&Q, Legoland, ebay, John Lewis the list goes on and on...! The more money we raise, the more fantastic resources we can buy for our children! Thank you Happy New Year to everyone.
