Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all our Pre-School Families. What a lovely time we've had in Pre-School over the last couple of weeks! See you all in 2018.
The plan is to open tomorrow from 10.30am. Quite a few members of staff have children whose schools are starting later and with the overnight temperatures dropping to -6, the roads will be extremely icy to drive on first thing, I must consider the safety of staff.
Please take care when travelling to Pre-School and allow plenty of time, do not rush. If you do not feel able to travel tomorrow, please inform me by email. Your child’s safety is paramount.
If anything changes, I will inform you by email as soon as I can.
Please consider the weather and dress your child accordingly.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Dear Parents and Carers,
Due to the weather and road conditions at present, the majority of staff travel considerable distances and we need to be sure enough staff can make it into work, so that we can run the Pre-school safely with appropriate adult ratios, as well as checking the site is safe.
There is a high chance that we may have to close or open later tomorrow and so we suggest you make contingency plans should we have to make that final decision in the morning. If it snows again later and the roads freeze it is unlikely that the roads will be safe enough to travel on. Several schools have already made the decision to close in the area.
A final decision will be made in the morning and we will email by 8:00am to confirm whether we are closed or opening late. I will post sooner if it is clear that we need to shut.
Please can you help RAISE FUNDS with MINIMAL EFFORT and NO COST to yourselves?
If you haven't already signed up to our easy fundraising site the link is below:
or just go to easy fundraising and type in Hyde Heath Pre School.
We can raise lots of money just by having you sign up and then buy your items online as you normally would. Each time you buy something we receive a donation. Thousands of retailers and leisure providers are signed up for this, including Next, M&S, Hobbycraft, Wickes, Furniture Village, Amazon (not prime) and various holiday companies. Many people will be doing some of their Christmas shopping on line and it would be brilliant if that results in money going to the pre school
Each time you shop the companies donate money to our fund, and whilst it is often just a few pence, it all adds up.
Please do take a couple of minutes to sign up and help raise valuable funds.
So far we have only 17 supporters but we have raised over £300 between us. It really does add up.
If you could just spare 5 minutes to sign up so each time you shop online you also raise money for the pre school we would be grateful.
The children have made poppies for Remembrance Day. We talked about why people wear poppies at this time of year.
Its the Infant School Frost Fair on Saturday 18 November, 2-4pm.
The Pre-School has a stall at the event, and this year it is Jam Jar Lucky Dip.
Please bring your filled and wrapped jams jars with sweets, chocolates, craft bits, jam, chutney, toiletries etc. in to the pre school ready for the Fair.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Pre School stall!
We are having a cake sale this Friday (10th) to raise funds for the pre school. Cakes will be on sale at pre school and school pick up time. Do come along and buy something yummy!
FANTASTIC NEWS. Harris and Hoole in Amersham have chosen the Pre School as their charity for October. They will have a pot by the till for people to put their change into and then they will donate the money to us at the end of the month. Please tell all your friends, colleagues etc so hopefully we get a very nice donation from them at the end of the month! Thank you.
Well done to Miss Franklin who achieved her Level 4 Advanced Practitioner in Childcare this week. We are all very proud of you.
